used Day 3 to explore Mistake Lake (just East and above the Upper
Titcomb Lakes) and the surrounding area. Our primary
objective, though, was to take a day-hike to the lower part of
Dinwoody Pass. We knew that we would be navigating around the
edge of Titcomb Lakes in the dark with headlamps the next morning,
and wanted to check out the route -- most of the trail was swampy or
under the snow.

Jim had experienced a little nausea on other high
points (anything above 9,000 ft.). He tried Diamox on this trip and
it worked perfectly.
